BY ALL STAR SMOG
Ensuring your heavy-duty diesel vehicles comply with California's Heavy-Duty Inspection and Maintenance (HD I/M) CARB regulations is crucial for both legal and operational efficiency. At Truck Smog Check by All Star Smog, we offer specialized services to help you meet these stringent standards. Our certified technicians use advanced diagnostic tools and adhere to the latest CARB guidelines to perform comprehensive inspections and maintenance on your heavy-duty trucks.
The HD I/M program is designed to reduce emissions from in-use heavy-duty vehicles, helping to improve air quality and public health. Compliance with these regulations not only helps you avoid significant fines and penalties but also ensures that your trucks are running efficiently and sustainably. Our team provides thorough inspections, identifying and addressing any issues that could affect your compliance status. Trust us to keep your fleet in top shape, ensuring both regulatory adherence and optimal performance.
All heavy-duty diesel trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 14,000 lbs or more must have a compliance certificate.
Older trucks are required to submit smoke opacity test results twice a year under the program. Trucks equipped with an on-board diagnostic system can submit data remotely. At Truck Smog Check by All Star Smog, we maintain digital records to simplify this task for you.
You must register your vehicle with the program and submit emissions testing results on time. Additionally, you need to resolve any outstanding compliance issues and pay an annual fee.
You will be denied registration. Heavy-duty trucks without an active compliance certificate will be denied registration. Keeping your compliance up to date is crucial for the continued operation of your business.
